Singer, songwriter, and activist Halsey, born Ashley Nicolette Frangipane, took to Instagram the other day to tell fans the song ‘Forget Me Too,’ which is the first collaboration with Machine Gun Kelly, is out.
The ‘Without Me’ singer included a variety of pictures of herself with Kelly, taken various times and occasions, and wrote alongside:
“Tickets to My Downfall featuring the song “Forget Me Too” is out now! The day has finally arrived that @machinegunkelly and I have a song together. I know it may seem impossible that we haven’t already done a song together, because we have been friends since the dawn of time. Believe me.”
Halsey added that taking so long to make a collaboration with Kelly was crazy, and continued by praising her friend:
“Just seems like it’s a meant to be type of thing. And now it is. Here. And fu**ing SICK. I’m so proud of your reinvention Colson. You’ve always been a rockstar in everything you’ve done whether it’s acting, modeling, being an amazing father, or exploring other genres. But now you have a whole entire album full of songs that reinforce what we already know. YOU’RE PUNK AS FU**, KID!!!!!!! Congrats!”
As known, Machine Gun Kelly’s fifth studio album was released on September 25, through Bad Boy and Interscope Records. Apart from Halsey; Blackbear, Trippie Redd, Iann Dior, Megan Fox, and Pete Davidson contributed the album as a guest.
Following Halsey’s post, Kelly left the following comment:
“First song we did together already my favorite song. 🤷🏼♂️🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥btw never seen anyone write a verse faster. 5 minutes and done. 🙏🏼🤯”
