Billboard Music Award-winning rapper Travis Scott, whose real name is Jacques Bermon Webster II, released his new single ‘FRANCHISE’ featuring well-known rappers Young Thug and M.I.A on September 25.
Scott, known for his unique music style that is a fusion of traditional hip hop, lo-fi and ambient, announced that his new musical release was out, through an Instagram post. He wrote alongside the official music video:
“This is strictly for the ones that like to walk thru Walls FRANCHISE OUT NOW. !!! 🔥🔥🔥🔥”
‘FRANCHISE’ came after his single ‘The Plan,’ which features in Christopher Nolan’s new film ‘Tenet;’ as his second track for the year.
Scott directed the music video himself for the single from his fourth studio album, however, the video was likened to other clips & films like Kendrick Lamar‘s ‘HUMBLE.’ and Ari Aster’s ‘Midsommar.’
Besides, the single’s cover art was created by George Condo, who designed the cover for Kanye West’s ‘My Beautiful Dark Twisted Fantasy’.
