Cardi B, born Belcalis Marlenis Almánzar, filed for divorce from hip-hop star Offset, in the couple’s home state of Georgia.
According to news released by TMZ, the 27-year-old ‘WAP’ star submitted court documents to dissolve their marriage, after finding out her husband had been unfaithful to her one more time. The file marked as “contested divorce” and Offset listed as the defendant and Cardi as the plaintiff.
As remember, the couple were married in secret in 2017, and in 2018 they welcomed their first child, a daughter named Kulture Kiari Cephus.
According to the PA news agency, Cardi asked for primary physical custody of Kulture and wants Offset, whose real name is Kiari Cephus, to contribute for support and maintenance. It is also stated that Cardi B and Offset are now living in a bona fide state of separation, and there no prospects for reconciliation.
In 2018, Cardi B announced she and Offset split up on her verified Instagram account by saying that things just haven’t been working out between them for a long time. However, they had reconciled in 2019.
In 2020, during an interview with ELLE magazine, she stated that her relationship had a lot of drama.
