Actress and singer Vanessa Hudgens, best known for her role as ‘Gabriella Montez’ in the ‘High School Musical’ film series, homaged to the late Los Angeles Lakers superstar Kobe Bryant by sharing a shot of herself, that she appears in a Los Angeles Lakers jersey, inside her home.
Along with the photo, on the official Kobe Day, Hudgens paid tribute to Bryant, who died alongside his 13-year-old daughter Gianna due to a helicopter crash, on January 26, 2020, via the following caption:
“8/24. Happy Kobe Bryant day💛💜I was never really into sports. Then I started watching the lakers games. I cheered more for Kobe than anyone else in my life.”
As known, shortly before, the August 24 has been declared as official Kobe Bryant Day by Los Angeles City Council to honor Bryant for his incredible talent and legendary work ethic.
Then the singer & actress shared the story of the signed LA jersey she got from Bryant as a gift in return to a signed Gabriella – Hudgens’ character in ‘High School Musical’ – doll:
“Yearssss ago I got a call saying Kobe wanted a signed Gabriella doll for one of his daughters. Geeking out I said of course… I would also really love a signed jersey 😂#mambamentality #mambaforever @lakers”
Hudgens’ post received a good number of comments that praise Bryant in a short time period.
