American singer-songwriter Taylor Swift, who has received 10 Grammy Awards throughout her music career, released her 8th studio album, ‘Folklore’ on July 24, through Republic Records. The ‘Look What You Made Me Do’ simger announced the news through social media the release one day before.
The other day, Swift took to Instagram to share the story behind ‘Folklore’ and she stated that the 8th studio album is a “harvest” of lockdown period.
The singer, one of the 100 most influential people in the world according to Time, posted to Instagram a black and white photo of herself and an open letter she had penned. She wrote as a caption:
“In isolation my imagination has run wild and this album is the result, a collection of songs and stories that flowed like a stream of consciousness.”
Then, the singer continued regarding the surprise album:
“Picking up a pen was my way of escaping into fantasy, history, and memory. I’ve told these stories to the best of my ability with all the love, wonder, and whimsy they deserve.”
Later, she addressed to her followers, and announced one more time that the new release is out:
“Now it’s up to you to pass them down. folklore is out now.”
Famous for her narrative songwriting, Swift seems to have created another album that reflects her personal life.
