Five-time Grammy award-winning singer & songwriter Elton John uploaded a stage-video through Instagram that was recorded during a concert at Arena Di Verona, Italy while he was performing ‘Sad Songs (Say So Much)’ and informed his followers regarding that the show is up on YouTube.
Sir Elton Hercules John captioned the video as follows, and made a mentioned of the version of the song:
“I love this version of ‘Sad Songs (Say So Much)’ (…) With my backing singers, we injected some Gospel Soul into ’Sad Songs’, bringing the spirit of the Deep South into a 2000-year-old amphitheater!”
John, who was knighted for “services to music and charitable services” in 1998, opened up about his favorite type of music and wrote:
“Gospel, Soul, and Country are among my favorite types of music. Their emotional powers reach down deep inside my heart.”
One of the best-selling music artists concluded his message with a piece of great news:
“’Sad Songs’ is up on YouTube now and you can watch the full concert from Verona, 1989 on YouTube this Saturday at 9 am (LA) / 12 pm (NY) / 5 pm (LDN) 🚀”
