Beyoncé’s Daughter Blue Ivy Carter Receives BET Award Nomination At The Age Of 8

8-year-old Blue Ivy Carter, who is Beyoncé and Jay-Z’s oldest child, has been nominated for a BET (Black Entertainment Television) Award for her work on ‘Brown Skin Girl’ which is the song appeared on ‘The Lion King: The Gift‘ soundtrack.

According to Entertainment Today, the song ‘Brown Skin Girl’ is nominated in the category include, ‘Underdog’ by Alicia Keys, ‘Melanin’ by Ciara, ‘I Choose’ by Layton Greene, ‘Tempo’ by Lizzo featuring Missy Elliott, and ‘Afeni’ by Rapsody featuring PJ Morton.

Besides, BET Award is not the only nomination Blue Ivy Carter has received so far. She also won an NAACP Image Award, and a song-writing award at the BET Soul Train Awards.

Following the accomplishments, Blue Ivy’s grandmother Tina Knowles congratulated her through Instagram and wrote:

“Congratulations BLUE IVY on your NAACP award last night for singing and writing on “Brown Skin Girl” from the Album The Gift. The youngest artist to win a major award. Grandma is soo proud of you❤️❤️❤️ 8 years old!!!!❤️ You are giving all the beautiful little brown girls a voice ❤️”
